UP Team Pilot Peter Hilger set off from Oberemmendorf - heading towards the Altmühltal at an average speed of 33 km/h.
The flight began on March 27, 2026, around 11 a.m. A full 5 hours and 42 minutes later, Peter touched down quite a bit north of Ingolstadt. “My fingers have thawed out by now,” he writes on DHV-XC. The top speed of 69 km/h and a maximum climb rate of 5.5 m/s suggest not only cold but also quite challenging conditions.
