The Pyrénées Louron Air Festival (in short: PLAF) is a free sporting and festive event centered on free flight (paragliding, hang gliding, kite flying, boomerang) in the Hautes-Pyrénées. It brings together elite athletes and passionate amateurs to foster the exchange of expertise. Competitions, demonstrations, and workshops allow the general public to experience the thrills of free flight. With performances and concerts by regional artists, the festival creates a cultural and social dynamic that fosters connections among everyone.
PLAF includes a paragliding competition
In this competition, pilots follow a marked course that must be completed. The winner is the pilot who flies the farthest or the fastest. This will take place from Wednesday to Saturday. Four days of flying to follow throughout the festival, crowned by an awards ceremony scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m. All accompanied by tandem flights with our new K2 5.
If you want to borrow a UP paraglider to take part, just fly one for fun, or, if you've always wanted to try a tandem flight, please
