Italy has a new paragliding event: The Challenge. Which took place for the first time 7-15 June 2025 as a combination of demo days and competition with prize draw at Via Luigi Costa Alpago (BL). Of max 130 pilots, 85 joined right the first time - and even the weather favoured the weekend with lots of sunshine.
Flying was good, the food even better. Filippo, the organizer and UP distributor for Italy was especially happy to welcome even a few pilots from UK and Czech Republic, who came all the way to Italy to take part.
The good news for everyone who missed it: there will be a new edition of The Challenge in 2026! Follow us for more info, we'll announce the date/location as soon as this has been determined.
