In addition to a paraglider and harness, gloves are also essential for a successful flight—after all, no one wants cold fingers. But there are even more advantages to gloves that are specially designed for pilots' needs.
Generally speaking, the material (wind/water-repellent, robust, warm, touchscreen-compatible, breathable, etc.) and the right size play an important role. Tight enough for the right grip when sorting the lines, but loose enough to be comfortable. In addition, there are features that are valuable when flying, such as wrist loops so you don't lose your gloves on the go, and extra-long cuffs to prevent cold wind from whistling in between the gloves and sleeves. At UP, we currently have two models that offer these features. Tailored to the respective use and season. Here is an overview:
NUBLO
Gloves with light insulation for spring/summer (3M Thinsulate) and the wind and water-repellent properties of softshell. Additional comfort thanks to extra-long knitted cuffs, reinforcement on the index finger edge, and removable wrist loops. A touchscreen-compatible palm and inner finger (for swiping) + top of the index finger tip (for typing in numbers) round off the functionality, while a rubberized logo print on the back of the hand completes the look. Available in sizes S-XXL (size S / 7), size M / 8, size L / 9, size XL / 10, size XXL / 11). Material: Outer material 100% polyester / Palm 60% polyamide, 40% PU / Inner lining 100% polyester / Cuffs 90% polyamide, 10% elastane

This further development has received a number of useful detail upgrades. For example, the knitted cuffs at the wrist have been slightly lengthened for even more comfort and a seamless transition to outerwear. Another new feature is the elastic wrist loops, which allow the gloves to be removed mid-air without the risk of losing them to gravity. The existing qualities of the predecessor have of course been retained: the robust yet flexible material mix of soft, water-repellent goatskin leather combined with windproof and waterproof stretch material. The top insulation also offers comfort in slightly colder temperatures in winter or at cloud base. The glove is also touchscreen compatible. A touchpoint is located on the front of the index finger tip, making it ideal for swiping on instruments or cell phones. Another touchpoint is located on the fingertip itself, making it easy to type numbers. The palm is rubberized with rubber dots for a perfect, non-slip grip. Available in sizes S (7), M (8), L (9), XL (10), XXL (11). Material: Outer material 40% polyester, 40% leather, 15% rubber, 5% elastane / Palm 60% polyamide, 40% PU / Lining 100% polyester
