We distinguish between LWC (Light Weight Construction) and ULC (Ultra Light Construction) as follows: Paragliders that have been made lighter primarily through a change in material (e.g., lighter fabric) are LWC, while paragliders that have been made lighter through a change in construction (e.g., recesses in the interior of the glider) are ULC.
