Jan Necas reports on his “longest flight worldwide that day, that wasn't done with a 2-liner.”
We’re thrilled by the positive feedback on our 2.5-liner TRANGO X and how it performs in rough conditions. In Jan’s words:
“This was my first attempt for a bigger triangle in Europe. I chose a day that looked decent on the forecast but ended up having quite a lot of east wind up high, and north as the day progressed so most of the flight has been really turbulent and fairly low for Swiss standarts. In the end 200km FAI was possible, but I planned the day quite conservatively and didn't bother changing plans mid air. TRANGO X was dancing waltz above my head most of the day, so I was quite happy being on a hybrid and not a two-liner. That day I was the longest non-two-liner flight in the world."
We congratulate him on this achivement and are keeping our fingers crossed for the best flying conditions on his next attempt! All details are available on XContest.
