More ‘feel-good’ than ever before - DISCONTINUED MODEL!
The Summit series was first introduced in 2001 and has been gaining loyal followers throughout the world ever since. We are excited to introduce the fifth incarnation of our famous EN / LTF C flagship: The Summit XC²! It comes with more extras, more performance and more ‘feel-good’ than ever before, all in an easy-to-use package that will appeal to a very wide pilot audience.
- Safe performance paragliding: Size M only scored one C (full speed 75% asymetrical collapse). All other categories scored A's and B's!!!
- 3-liner riser design - less drag, more performance, more fun
- Swept-back wingtips like on the higher rated brethren
- Very efficient speed system with high top speed
- Mini ribs in the trailing edge to keep this crucial part of the canopy under perfect control. It also keeps the profile nice and clean thereby reducing drag
- Airfoil Stabilizing System (ASS) instead of Mylar for perfect leading edge definition, light weight and easy packing. Drag reduction by keeping the leading edge clean and in shape.
- Brake tensioning system (BTS) for crisper handling and optimum tension on the trailing edge
We kept some features of its predecessor, such as the BTS (Brake Tension System), added new features such as the Airfoil Stabilizing System to replace the Mylar in the leading edge, equipped the trailing edge with mini-ribs to reduce drag, worked on the weight ranges and in fact, completely redesigned the canopy.
With only three risers/side the Summit XC² is a 3-liner, but in order to keep it firmly within its class we decided to keep a couple of D attachment points on the canopy, supported by the C lines.
The result is a high performance paraglider, which only scored ONE C during certification (size M in the category full speed 75% asymmetrical collapse) – the rest of the categories scored A’s and B’s!

The new 2012 Summit XC2 risers
As many will know, we have updated the Summit XC2 for 2012, by revising the speed system on the risers.
Gone are the old Riley pulleys which were to blame for the somewhat heavy speed bar on the original version, replaced by high-end Ronstan pulleys with ball bearings which reduce the force needed to deploy the speed bar by 38%!
The new risers are also available as a retrofit upgrade for existing Summit XC2 owners - please contact your local dealer, or UP directly, if you would like the Upgrade.
